The International Campus of Excellence Project by the UPV/EHU Euskampus was designed as a key tool for the economic, social and cultural transformation of the Basque Country. The project has always obtained the highest qualification from the Ministry of Education and is one of the State’s top seven Campuses of Excellence. The project is defined as a Community of Knowledge Poles, and is highly relevant at the moment as the Basque Country’s Smart Specialisation Strategy for the next few years is currently being established. Smart specialisation is in fact something that characterises the Euskampus Project. It is based on a triple-A approach: Apuesta (Commitment) to three areas of specialisation; Aggregation, to make up a veritable ecosystem of knowledge using human capital and scientific-technological capital to take on social and global challenges; and Agility, to speed up the knowledge value chain, from its exploration to its usage.
The summer course A.5 ‘Experiences in the development of strategies and transformation processes’ promoted by Euskampus Fundazioa, therefore, aims to be an open space for reflection, dialogue and collaboration in which the institutions that are part of the Euskampus Project, the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, Tecnalia and the DIPC, are able to exchange experiences with society and relevant agents in education, science, technology and innovation, in order to explore the development of transformation strategies and processes in various areas: corporate, organisational and regional.
